ROLDA: A Beacon of Compassion and Hope

ROLDA UK, along with our parent charity in Romania, forms a powerful force of compassion.

Together, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and abandoned stray animals in Romania and Ukraine, creating a brighter future for these animals and uniting animal lovers across borders.

In a country where many stray animals suffer on the streets or in poor public pounds, ROLDA stands strong in our commitment to compassion and care. Our no-kill policy reflects our dedication to the welfare of these innocent animals. Since the start of the war, our shelters, located close to the border, have extended lifesaving support to animals in Ukraine, assisting around 40 rescuers and charities by providing ongoing grants.

Our mission tackles the root causes of animal suffering through rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, sterilisation programmes, and education. With two shelters which houses hundreds of dogs and a newly opened sanctuary for senior and disabled cats in Romania, ROLDA demonstrates how love and care can transform lives.

Our efforts have made a huge impact, having helped over 40,000 dogs and cats in just a decade. This remarkable achievement highlights our dedication to creating a better future for these voiceless beings and showcases the positive change we bring to our community.
