Can I only leave money to a charity?

No, you have three different options for gifts you can leave to ROLDA UK:

Pecuniary gifts: A set amount of money.

Residuary gifts: A percentage or the entirety of your remaining estate after other specified gifts, costs, and taxes.

Specific gifts: A specific object, asset, or property.

You can discuss your preferences with us to ensure your wishes are clear.

ROLDA is an internationally supported charity working in Romania to solve efficiently the appalling problem of the country’s millions of homeless animals. Our keys focuses are rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming dogs and cats from our private shelters, as well as offer practical help and education locally to low-income pet owners. ROLDA campaigns nationally for animal rights and provides humanitarian aid during disasters like the war in Ukraine.

ROLDA affiliates are registered as tax-exempt nonprofit organization in several countries.
Depending on where you reside, your donation may qualify for a tax deduction or benefit.

IN THE US

Romanian League in Defense of Animals, Inc (ROLDA USA) is registered as a 501-c-3 non profit organization. Contributions made by US supporters to ROLDA USA are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the law. The ROLDA’s Tax Identification number is 32-0176929.

IN UK

ROLDA UK is registered as CIO, Reg. No. 1162690. Donations made by British supporters in GBP currency are tax exempt and Gift Aid can be claimed.

IN HOLLAND

ROLDA is recognized as a public benefit organization (PBO, abbreviated in Dutch as ANBI), and it is therefore fully exempt from inheritance tax. This means that no taxes may be imposed on the capital transfer. Your bequest, legacy, or donation will therefore entirely go our cause.
